I disagree with your comment "will result in recurrent flare ups". I think that this is a negative attitude and also preemptive.

A holistic treatment may bring an infected tooth under control, may kill the infection, may assist the tooth to heal, and may assist a nerve to revitalise.

Please have a look at some case reports on my website, http://www.worldofteeth.com, if you disagree, as there are case reports there of actual tooth regeneration.

Although whole tooth regeneration and infection neutralisation are not exactly the same task, one seems to put the other into perspective.

I wish for healing for the original enquirer on this thread, regardless of which treatment strategy is chosen.
