Re: 5 months of horrible pain after root canal!
Hi ConstantPain. Sounds like an awful experience.
My first question would be, what did the dentist fill the
root canal with? If it's an
Amalgam filling (which it's highly likely to be) then you may have problems due to this to start with - the symptoms of brain fog, muscle pain and especially the eye-twitching thing are classic symptoms of mercury poisoning which happens due to inhaling mercury vapour when the filling is placed in.
Furthermore, if an
Amalgam filling also contains a titanium post, you will get "electrogalvanism". This happens when two different metals are in contact - it causes an electrical current in your mouth, which accelerates the corrosion of both metals, releasing even more mercury and playing havoc with the electrical impulses in the nerves (this *isn't* hokum - ask any engineer what happens when copper rivets are put into steel sheet. They corrode and fall out within weeks).
If the filling was composite rather than amalgam, please disregard this advice. If it was amalgam, though, get thee to a holistic/biological dentist, if you can afford it. One who doesn't use any metal fillings, ever, and knows how to take the mercury out safely.
Hope this helps.
