Re: 5 months of horrible pain after root canal!

If the tooth is sensitive to hot/warm it is dead, if it is sensitive to cold its not. Did he root canal the one that hurts? If so he must have not gotten out the entire nerve.
If its not that on, but the one with the bridge through it you may need a root canal on that one as well. Its the nerve thats the problem in any case. DO NOT go back to that dentist, instead call around and talk to different ones. Find one that is sincere and ready to see you NOW. A good dentist will get you in today, even if you have to wait an hour or two.
Tell them on the phone ahead of time what the problem is! They should also take an Xray right away to look for infection and nerve damage.
I hope you can find someone right away! Do you have insurance? If so call them and lodge a complaint about the dentist that did treat you correctly. Have you reported this to the old dentist? If not do that even if you do not plan on going back! If so did they offer to see you immediately? They should have!
It will cover you in case you need to seek any kind of legal action.
I hope you get in today, call someone now! Get rid of your pain!
Good luck...
Jen
