On my seven week fast, I drinked water only. Although I have been on another fast that some consider as the Daniel fast, where I and my wife ate only fruits, vegetables, and beans for 21 days (I really disliked beans after that fast, lol).

Daniel 10:2-3 "2) In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks (21 days). 3) I ate no pleasant foods, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoit myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled."

My pastor was very good friends with Derek Prince and considered him as his mentor. He often talks about some of the trips that they went on together spreading the good news of Jesus Christ in their younger ages. Derek Prince has even been to our church a few times before going home to his heavenly Father.

I was first motivated to fast when I read a book entitled "The Hidden Powers of Prayer and Fasting. It explained a lot to me about fasting.

I wish that I could have answered your post sooner, but I have been taking care of the house and the needs of my wife.
