To goat(21 day water fast?)
You asked about the 21 day
Water Fasting experience but the message has now be hidden, so I can only respond in this manner.
I did this when I was 19 years old. It really was inspired by Braggs Miracle of Fasting book. I went to So. Calif to complete the fast. Worked in a health food store towards the end but couldn't really do a whole lot because of weakness. I think Bragg's philosphies have been pretty much discontinued and replaced by juice fasting with
colonics or enemas. I wouldn't do any type of fast without the latter. If your interested in fasting I would first recommend a thorough colon cleaning(Holistic Horizons is great) and
colonics if can and liver cleansing. I wouldn't fast for the sake of fasting before I did the colon and
Liver Cleansing first. Then determine if you really need it. Colon and
Liver Cleansing are extremely powerful in their own right and no amount of water or juice fasting will make up for that. Even Patricia Bragg won't do long fasts anymore and prefers instead to fast 3 days a month. Beyond 20 or so days your getting into the spiritual even though obviously it's very physical too. I stopped any serious fasting in my early 20's. But if your bound and determined to fast I would go no more than 10 days and go from there. You could, ala Bragg fast 10 days 3-4 times a year, but again unless your serious about colon,
Liver Cleansing and diet it's a waste of time or worse.
Bottom line is that I never really achieved what Bragg claimed he had, and I think there was a lot more to his lifestlye that contributed to it. I mean, he was living his dream and blazing a trail without any competition. So basically, I think you have to really, really be careful about applying a guru's philosophy's to your own life. In other words, I was really disappointed in his teachings in the end, I fasted, I did the exercises, I did the food thing, but never really achieved that tireless, painless, ageless body he always preached about. Although maybe it's still possible... ;)
