That's a tough one....
On one side, you want to follow your dr's orders, and what's best for your body. But then again, if you have a
Sugar dependency, I can't see anything better for you than the MC. Before I started (at 217) I am/was a carbo/sugar junkie. It got so bad that I became hypoglicemic. You know - after eating a high carb meal, I would start to sweat. 2 hours later I would start to shake because my
Sugar level would drop dramatically and I would need MORE carbs/sugar -- it was a never ending cycle (eat, sweat, shake, eat). I felt HORRIBLE -- which is why I searched for a diet that would break that cycle.
I really think I found it with this cleanse, but the most important thing is coming off of it for me. And honestly, it makes me very nervous. I've decided to go into the medifast program after I end the cleanse (at 15 days). As it takes at least 21 days to break the bad habits I've learned over the last 40 years.
Personally - I'd recommend going back on the cleanse, and then going into a low fat/low carb diet. I (personally) don't believe high protein is the way to go if you have a
Sugar dependency. Raw would be much better -- and something I'm seriously looking at.
sorry to ramble, but I hope this was helpful. Keep in touch!
