Re: Pig vomit

DuPont used to make many claims about polyfluorinated hydrocarbons, yet we saw a recent $ 300 MM judgement rendered against it last month, including an alleged concealment of data 20 years ago. Medical journals used to regularly contain cigarette advertisements. The ADA used to say that putting mercury in the mouth in the form of Amalgams was "safe". DDT was used as a pesticide for decades. Phthalates were used as plasticizers for decades. Lead tetraethyl in gasoline. PCB's. Fluoride, known as a rat poison for its enzyme-inhibiting activity even at low concentrations, and for cuasing bone embrittlement and deformities, has been well documented to have cumulative effects on human intelligence. Europeans banned it. v1agra ? Good stuff ? FDA approved it, but some are now claiming heart attacks.

Point is, the absence of a team of scientists with peer-reviewed data does not necessarily mean that any new substance X is without potential for causing unknown harm. History has shown the introduction of new molecules into the human organism to be a learning process, with deleterious effects often not becoming known for quite some time afterwards.

The same logic can be turned around, as it is not possible to "prove" that any new molecule X is absolutely safe either.
