Re: Now why are proteins left out of the picture?

It's good you bring up the Blood Type Diet - I have looked at a few approaches that attempt to place your body type in a specific category - although we are all inherently different, there are some general qualities or traits that may group us differently. I was very pleased that I fell into a specific group on metabolic typing, meaning there would be some guidance on what could be beneficial for me. I was also pleased that within ayurveda there is a general classification for my body type that is extremely close to my metabolic typing group. More importantly I relate to the classifications, (personalities, food cravings, typical conditions affecting my group, and ways to balance). I then began looking at Blood Type Diet and before I knew my blood type I was swearing I must be a B or maybe O type because it would go along with dietary reccomendations suggested by the other two ideologies - well apparently i'm type A and that obviously brought up some questions because blood type A diet doesn't seem to tickle my fancy and go agaisnt the other ideologies in a way. Although I won't discredit Blood Type Diet fully there are some valid reasons as to why may not be all that accurate - First there is mingling issue - different blood types have mingled for generations and although only one comes up as the dominant, we may have "Tattoos" of other types imprinted on ourselves. For example, if my mom happened to be AO, and my father AB kind of deal.
I do take into consideration any allergen foods for type A and try to avoid them but if there are foods that seem to be a nono that disagree with the other ideologies than I may ignore them.

By the way, I seem to be just about 100% Vata according to Ayuerveda, which means I need heartwarming and calorie rich foods, and parasympathetic type according to metabolic typing, which is suggesting the same and incorporate meat into the diet. All of my symptoms fall into both those categories (when out of balance).
More importantly, the diet and a range of foods were tested on me via meridian stress assessment (this is done by testing foods, supplements and anything on my accupuncture points and measure electrical change on those points), and that showed quite a remarkable match, and further sorted out some food allergens and beneficial foods specific to my own body type.
