Hey I just got back from the farmers market and met a seaweed harvestor....any how the seaweed WAKAME on the alkline scale is a 260 when your typical dikon is a 4 and fig is a 30~I wanted to share this with you cause I can't believe the score...I'm so impressed......
"The Wakame sea vegetable is highly recommended in the Macrobiotic diet because of its highly alkaline qualities and dense concentrations of Calcium (1300mg) and Iron (13mg) per 3oz serving among many other minerals and trace elements." "Alkalinity/Acidity of Food: A relative level of acidity or alkalinity that a specific food is likely to produce in the body upon consumption. The most acid forming foods, such as rice bran, have an acidic factor of 85.2, while the most alkaline forming foods, such as wakame (a sort of sea weed), have an alkali factor of 260.8 (the factor of 0 representing a neutral state)".
