Re: The Essential Superfood - Lecithin

Shelley,

Based on everything I have read here, I purchased lecithin and have been putting it in my morning Superfood drink. I was just on the Ask Curezone Team forum and saw the following post from Wrenn which says this is not a good thing to take. She says:

1st off most lecithin sources used are either from red meats/livers/ high fatty fish or soy. peanuts. None of what i would dare put in my body in any shape or form.

Also lecithin from these sources as an oil are almost always rancid. something like 80 % If you eat foods that contain methionine, then the liver will make lecithin on its own.. and then the body will use the lecithin to make choline 8)

ps i will also post on dangers of soy and red meat and dioxin above all of which are the primary sources of lecithin that is marketed. *eek shutter* read and weep.

Grog then goes on to say: Lecithin is extracted from the oil sludge left after removing the oil from the (soy) beans and is likely to contain high levels of pesticides and solvent also!

Your thoughts on this?

Thanks.

Raymond
