Re: Lucid Dreams

Hi Owen,

What to buy?...So far, I haven't bought anything!! As I said, I
came across EFT on DR Mercola's site. I had heard of it before
but this time I thought I would read up on it at least.

The practice involves tapping on meridian points, similar to
accupressure. It was discovered really by accident by a Dr
Calahan in 1980 with one of his patients in therapy. Since then
it has been developed by Gary Craig.

His web-site is www.emofree.com. There you can access loads of
info - testimonials, techniques, applications, etc. You can
download the manual (pdf) for free. So actually it costs nothing;
you can buy a course that illuminates the process even more and
this includes videos and audio cassettes.

I haven't bought any thing yet but when you hear about vietnam
vets getting instant relief from their demons and psychoses
instantly....well, you can only be intrigued.

Intellectually, it's the simplicity of the process that is initially almost hard to accept - how can something so simple
be so effective?

A round of tapping takes a minute. Obviously people have varying
degrees of success with it. They theorise that a lot of our
stresses, strains, pains, phobias, etc. are actual energy
blockages. This ties in with the meridian lines in the body -
something as you well know they Tai Chi and various other
practices address.

There is a section on the site called "The Palace of Possibilities" - this is especially useful for affirmations.
It is as if is the missing link in therapy. They call it
"psychological reversal" - before you can fix the problem,
then you need to reverse the broken energy flow, so to speak.

I'd recommend you have a look at the site and see what you
think - there is obviously no obligation nad you can tap away
yourself and see how it resonates with you.

On the subject of lucid dreams...Ive just tapped into my intention
to have one several times before going to bed. Maybe, I'm lucky,
but I had been aware that there are all sorts of gizmos out there
promising lucid dreams. I never invested because I was never
totally convinced of their effectiveness.

I think one of the convincing things about the web-site is that
they aren't hustling all the time and Gary Craig is the first
to admit that he's still perplexed as to why it is so effective.

Also, when you see the list of practitioners who have taken it
up; well, they seem to be very credible professional people.

I also think in a holistic sense it ties in well with my insight
meditations which are becoming extremely deep.

I'm going for an appointment this Friday as is my mother. She
says she has got results already which is great.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Hope this helps,

Kind Regards,
Tom
