Re: Danger! danger! danger!

I fully realize that xanax Is very addictive to millions of people. For me, it's been a life saver.
I have taken xanax for over 20 years. I must not have a gene or whatever for addiction, though, because I've never increased dosage in all this time!
I started out taking it to sleep. I think I took one milligram back then. I don't remember when it happened but I started reducing to 1/2 a milligram instead at bedtime.
Now, I am so familiar w/how it works for me it will vary how much I'll take or even IF I'll take it. I bought a bottle of L-Tryptophan 2 weeks ago, for relaxing. About 7 o'clock at night I take one of those. Then, at 8:30pm I'll take a sleep gel or one tylenol PM. Then at 9pm I'll take , according to how I'm feeling, nothing else OR 1/4 a milligram of Xanax or if I'm upset and my mind is racing I'll take one half a milligram. I Hate doing that but sometimes I'm simply nervous.
During the daytime I only take it if I have to go somewhere and I'm nervous. Which is really dumb. Like, before the dentist I'll go wild and take 1 1/2 mg's.
Often , I'll take none at all when I go out. So it's really , in my opinion, whether or not you have an addictive personality. I did try to cut them out totally months ago but after a month of sleeping only 4-7 hours I gave up. I hate that.
