Re: Rational Recovery.....to Dave
Blueduck,
I read your post with rapt interest. I know the desperation you speak of, an almost black panic, where you know you're on a one-way train to "hell" and you can't get off.
I would encourage any problem drinkers reading this board to do WHATEVER it takes to quit. Try not to wait till you hit bottom. Sometimes "bottom" is a whole lot worse than you can imagine.
If you've got a talk to someone, RUN, don't walk, but RUN to AA. Get on the program. And then consider a supplement approach. Believe me, the cravings can be eliminated. Both avenues hold the best promise in my opinion.
If you're a lone duck, which may be why you're perusing this board, then read Seven Weeks to Sobriety. Get the supplements at a health food store, and TAKE them.
Thanks, Blueduck
Dave
