I don't understand what your point is. Viruses invade cells, consume their protoplasm, multiply and explode the cell and continue to invade cells and grow, often at a very fast rate. Viruses are smaller than cell size and are more or less strands of DNA, bacteria are fully developed unicellular organisms and thrive on many different media. A body full of mucus is a bacterial smörgåsbord. This is basic biology 101. An overly acidic body may be more prone to the invasion of these organisms. But there is too much evidence that large doses of vitamin C somehow reduces the intensity of these invaders. I experienced this myself last week with a 30,000 mg dose of C. By the way, I do take minerals recommended by my Naturopath, but did not increase that dosage.
