I just wanted you to know, that at Owen's encouragement, I am experimenting with mega doses of Vitamin C. I'm using the Bronson Labs big jar. I'm at 16 g/day and ... nothing.
I was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. Early studies done by Linus Pauling and others back in the fifties strongly suggested that the disease was genetotrophic and nutrition related. These studies suggested a deficiency in Vitamins C, E, B6 (possibly) and the mineral selenium. The double blind studies were discontinued when results were not overwhelmingly positive. Dr. Pauling's comment later was that the research should have continued with much higher doses of the vitamins.
So I've decided to experiment with mega doses of Vitamin C to see just how high of a dose a MD patient might need.
