Does the area which has the primple like outbreak swollen? If yes, very likely it is Herpes. From your description of pain in ear, it sounds like Herpes. I have pain in the outer ear. If I put hydrogen peroxide in the ear, then the viruses went past the eardrum to the inner ear. Boy the pain is much difficult to bear. Back then when I went to see the ear, throat, nose specialist, he said he never seen any infection past the eardrum to inner ear and tried to comfort me that it is not Herpes. However, only those who had Herpes viruses knew they will go to inner year. Also, he told me CT Scan cannot tell which viruses, only can show there is an infection. So I did not take the CT Scan.

I rely on valtrex to protect the viruses from going to inner ear. Now, I do not put hydrogen peroxide, so the viruses stays in the outer year and not pass the eardrum.

Please tell me how can you work and sleep. I am now working part time and if I am so busy in the day, I will not think so much of the pain. However, I can't be as sharp as I used to be. So let me know, as I cannot stop working, or I will be a beggar on the street. Thanks.
