Not sure about the asymptomatic stuff - but it could be possible that your partner doesn't have herpes, yet.

As far as pregnancy goes many, many women get pregnant and have healthy babies. However you may have worse outbreaks while pregnant because your immune system can get 'lowered', then again you may not have any outbreaks while pregnant. Just something to watch for.

I have read that you can give birth vaginally as long as you are not having an outbreak or on the verge of an outbreak. Otherwise you will need to have a C-section to protect the baby.

A friend of mine has herpes and she had health babies - however she didn't deliver either one vaginally. She had a C-section for both.

Reasearch your options and always get a second opinion.
