Re: consider physical causes too - not allways mental

Hi Iris

I am a bit lost here - are you/they saying 5-HTp has something to do with Anorexia?
or that it will help anorexics?

I find this interesting, because Anorexia and IBS might be related, almost the same disease. Anorexia has been sloughed off as psychological, but as we are finding out, all diseases have a biological or chemical basis. A cause.

The Cause of Anorexia has been said to be the family dynamics, or the image-conscious society driving women to be super-thin.Whats the latest on causes of anorexia -still all mental-related?

I have a neice with Anorexia, and to me it seems her bowel is bad, that fod bothers her, and she feels best when she has no food in her for those reasons.
A bad relationship with food?>it takes two to tango... its not always the gril's fault, it might be the foods fault.

Are you following this? I have not heard this theory about the causes of anorexia before, but I think someone must have considered it.
