Travelling to China - innoculations unavoidable- help

When a friend of mine leaves for China in a month, to teach ESL, will he have to get the usual innoculations against the various diseases like cholera?

If there is an option , he will refuse them, but often you cannot get your passport and so on okayed until you get the shots - does anyone know what these are, and how to avoid adverse reactions to them?


I would prefer he just take along Colloidal Silver and H202 and Vit C., but that will not be allowed of course. Someday, I hope!!
