Re: Anyone disagree with Andrew Hall Cutler?
I have a small number of pretty minor disagreements, cautions, or questions regarding his work.
--Dosages for supplements in his books tend to be pretty high. Be aware of this.
--Never used a
FIR (Far-Infrared-Sauna) sauna, but some people seem very happy with them. I expect that they have some benefits, and thought his caution against them could have been more open-ended.
--Be very careful in taking baking soda to alkalize the urine. This can lead to
kidney stones in susceptible individuals. There probably should have been a caution on this.
--In retrospect, I still feel his dosages for starting out on ALA and DMSA are too high, although he disagreed with me on this when I posted that view on Curezone.
--This may not be a disagreement with Andy himself as much as some of the views on the Yahoo forums, but I think that the current Huggins/Morales approach of removing all the
Amalgams in one day is probably best for most people. Removing them in stages may be the best approach for individuals who have high body-mercury loads to the point of being very ill. For individuals like myself and probably most other people who are trying to get their health together after many years of having amalgams, body mercury tends to be low, CNS mercury is high, and it's not that big of an issue unless, again, you are very ill. I am very glad that I did not draw out the process of getting them removed.
--I still feel his cautions against chlorella are just a little extreme. Some people do have trouble with it, and I doubt it is that effective, but the same could be said for many other things.
I personally think the Cutler protocol is the best thing we've got overall. I try to keep an open mind, and of all the alternatives I think cilantro has some potential. The main problem with cilantro is that we don't really understand how or why or to what extent it works, so developing a protocol around it is a little hit or miss.
I have to add that there is some absolutely horrible advice out there with EDTA and DMPS injections and large doses of DMSA every other day. I'm very thankful to Andy for all of his work, and have to note that my criticisms are all relatively trivial to his main accomplishment.
