Re: Had fillings today, old amalgam fillings removed.
Thanks for the replies. I have done plenty of reading. I'm digusted that the ADA could be knowingly poisoning so many people. I just read that 95% of people with MS and other neurological disorders have
Amalgam fillings.
Still, I'm weary about holistic hype and scams. I understand that mercury vapor constantly comes off the fillings, but there is also mercury in the drinking water, toxins in the air I breath, and chemicals, carginigins, and persevitives in everything I consume. The big thing I'm worried about is how much of a risk is it. Are we talking getting struck by lightning risk, or smoking cigarettes risk. One side says it's poisonous and tells me that many countries have/are trying to ban this compound, and the other says the holistics just want to rip my teeth apart and charge insane amounts of money for it. I read about holistic scams where they tell anyone who applies that they have mercury poisoning.
I don't know. I have been feeling horrible ever since the 2nd appointment when I had my old
Amalgam filling drilled out. He drilled the whole thing, grinded it away with little pieces flying everywhere like I said earlier. Right not my biggest worry is that exposure from getting that drilled out. I'll need the one on the other side drilled also.. and I can't just not drill it otherwise that tooth will rot out. Anyways, I have felt sick and fatigued ever since the
Amalgam removal. If it's because of the huge amounts of ercury vapor I was exposed to during that appointment (sickness started after the appointment) will it go away? My body will be able to get rid of it, right? Some of these websites that condemn amalgam are telling me that the way my dentist removed my amalgam filling had me breathing in vapors 1,000's of times higher than safe doses. They tell stories of people who are fatigued their entire lives with headaches, depression, and sickness. I have only experienced 2.5 days of this, but I don't know whether to believe the these scare tactics websites or not. Will I get better from the fatigue I had from the appointment? Can 2 amalgam filling removals really give me poisoning for life?
I have been drinking lots of tea, taking asprin for the headaches, and pretty much just sleeping (thank god it's the weekend).. as I haven't had much energy. I don't have a pounding migrane or anything. No runny nose or cough, which is the only reason I don't think it's a normal cold or sickness. One side of my thinks the drilling caused this, but the other doesn't want to believe that I could be poisoned at my dentist's office. Worst case senario that I am feelign sick because of the mercury exposure when I got drilled, will it go away within a couple more days?
