Hi papillon :)

Now for the next horror story.
Powdered zinc was used as a catalyst. The waste product was a zinc sludge that contained the cancer causing salts (the zinc was contaminated)
The zinc was shipped in gondola cars by railway to Revlon Cosmetics.
Revlon made lipstick out of this cheap contaminated zinc!
When reports started spreading about a sudden high rate of women having lip cancer, and most of them had one thing in common, they used Revlon Lipstick.
When Revlon was asked to reveal the ingredients for their lipstick. Revlon reported that they used zinc as a lipstick base just like all lipstick makers.
Revlon immediately stopped buying the cheap contaminated zinc sludge to make lipstick with.
When the chemical company could not sell the zinc anymore, we started using cheaper powdered lead as a catalyst for the carcenogenic salts, and the contaminated lead sludge was dumped in what was part of a wetlands santuary.
The company was fined for filling in part of the wetland.
