Re: Looking...
Hi fledgling
I will try to answer your questions.
I am not a 'bush medicine' person. I am not into politics, government, banking, and I am not a member any fraternities or organizations.
Since you want to know more about me.
When I was very young, I used to live with an old medicine woman (Ms L. Outlaw) when my parents travelled because of work.
She took me on the field trips to gather wild herbs, and she had me help make tinctures, they were stored in mason jars in what looked like a large pantry room with shelves full of remedies. She had crock jugs full of grain alcohol from a local bootlegger to make the tinctures with.
I have always been a believer in herbal remedies, and always tried to learn more. I spent time with Cory Oceola, and Josie Billie did not like Cory and refused to teach him, but Cory claimed to be medicine man anyway.
Maybe because of my interest in medicine? I worked for a large pharmaceutical company for many years.
I worked in many of the processes of making drugs, fungicides, pesticides, industrial chemicals, research processes, and even super high explosive materials for the military.
And you thought pharmaceutical companies only made drugs?
By being inside, I saw a lot of things that scared me, and are very wrong. and it goes on in every chemical and pharmaceutical comapny, and nobody will believe what has and is still being dumped in the ground, and in the waterways. They all build chemical plants next to waterways for one major reason!
I do not believe in using pharmaceutical medicines. Chemicals are more dangerous than many people are aware of.
Chemical toxins permanently alter genetics, they damage your DNA and can be passed along to offspring. You can not blame everything on not eating right.
Many of your furtilizers are not from manure or compost, it is made by chemical companies and chemical certain waste. It is cheaper for the farmers.
Most people are at the mercy of what furtilizer, pesticide and fungicide the farmer uses to increase his crop yield.
Many of your vegetables and fruits go through a rinse that has a fungicide in to retard ripening during shipping, and to keep its pretty unblotched appearance fresh looking.
Unfortunately we are living in a chemical age that has no boundaries or dependable watchdog.
