Virago, I feel for you! I'm going to do my Amalgam removal sometime in the future, and needless to say I'm petrified. It really helps knowing so many people have been through this.

As for your health problems, know this....whatever hurdles you may face as a result of this toxic sh*t, they're out of your body now, and healthwise there's nowhere to go but up from here.

And on a totally different topic....mike, thanks for mentioning the contact lens solution thing!!! It's like a huge lightbulb went off in my head!! I know about the toxicity of thimerosal, and I know I've read 'thimerosal' on contact solutions. But for some VERY weird reason, I never connected the two. In my mind they were two different chemicals almost. Wow, maybe its the mercury haze I've been in. What irony that the chemical I've been trying to avoid so much is something I use daily!

Do you know any particular brand of solution that is safe to use? I've been unsuccesful in trying to find something. The only thing is the regular saline solution, but I'm afraid that it won't remove the germs and protein deposits.

I'm SO glad I found this community.....it's amazing how much I've been learning.
