Owen - a question for you

Hi Owen, I'm so glad you're back! You were seriously missed!! I have a question if you don't mind. I'm curious about why you would take enzymes when you eat raw food, don't they have enough enzymes on their own? How do you know you aren't "over enzyming" or is there no such thing as overdoing it? Also, could you elaborate on the difference between digestive enzymes and Betaine Hydrochloride enzymes which I think are used to increase stomach acid? I'm a little confused. How did you know when you needed them?

Andreas advised me a while back not to use digestive enzymes because the body eventually becomes dependent on them and will stop making them on its own. But in rereading his book he does recommend them. So, I'm kind of torn about whether to take them or not and if so which ones. Any insight you could share would be appreciated. Thanks!

Oops sorry, that was more than one!
