I figured out it has something to do with the reaction between Gold and Mercury. So are Gold Crowns considered safe if you have no Amalgam?

I've got two Amalgam fillings left and they just happen to sit right above a Gold crown.

I really don't even want to think about replacing my three gold crowns for porcelean.
