Re: Croup (barking cough) in 5-year old

Apple Cider Vinegar would be great if you could get your 5 year old to drink it. The streetcorner philosopher suggested adding Cinnamon to Apple Cider Vinegar,

"I'm a believer in Apple Cider Vinegar. But it's always been very difficult for me to stomach. I just HATE the flavor...even when mixing it with honey....I can still barely get it down. But I finally found the answer to neutralizing its horrible flavor: Cinnamon! A half a teaspoon (or more) of fresh ground cinnamon does wonders! It amazingly covers up that awful smell and taste. Plus cinnamon is healthy for you as well. It's all good. Tom."

You might sweeten it with honey but if all else fails, Colloidal Silver will knock out any secondary bacterial stuff. It is expensive at 10-20 buck but effective. You can get Colloidal Silver at most health foods stores. I ordered a gallon of it for emergency use but I haven't been sick for so long using Apple Cider Vinegar that I haven't had to use the Colloidal Silver. I make my own but my family doesn't like the color of my brew. If you make your own it is cheaper.

You might also want to do some aroma therapy with Ucaplyptus and a humidifier.

High doses of crushed up Vitamin C in juice could also help.
