I have problems with vitamin A too. It can be quite hard on the liver so if you already have any kind of liver problems/toxicity (not necessarily serious liver damage), vit A will just add to the toxicity.
As you also have a sensitivity to betacarotene rich foods, this can indicate hypothyroidism. You need thyroid hormones, oils, bile salts, zinc plus vit C I think to convert b/c into vit A. Also B12 I think (which depends on the thyroid).
Again the same with me but my sensitivity has lessened a LOT to b/c (not vit A though) since I started taking thyroid hormones though I still react sometimes if I have too much b/c....my skin turns orange and I get VERY irritable and aggressive!
