There is raw and then there's raw. Go to the link in Shelley's story and she has a link to her ebook (free for people who can't afford it). Read it and then let's talk.

If it was me I'd add dense nutritious green superfoods (organic, wildcrafted..no fillers)

Two of the best are....Pure synergy and Vitamineral Green.
I would add E3 live algae and raw cultred sauerkraut. Kamu kamu berries are the best live source of vitamin c. Goji berries are an incredible superfood.

The way to fail raw is eat high amounts of hybridized fruits such as oranges and banannas, dehrdated foods, too many high fat foods and not enough variety. I have seen many a person do this and give up on raw. Just like I have seen vegetarians eat processed foods (although no meat) and wonder why they are sick.

Does your juicer do wheat grass? Wheat grass is highly mineralized and you can make it even better by watering the growing wheat grass with dilute ocean water to make it team with minerals that can easily be assimilated (organic form vs toxic inorganic supplement type). The same can be done with sprouts of all kinds.

Consider eating wild foods such as dandilions, burdock root, etc. Highly mineralized.

Also be aware that raw foodists fail by not understanding and utilizing enough mineral rich food. Darky leafy greens and sea vegetables are a must. Also all nuts and seeds need to be soaked to remove enzyme inhibitors which block nutrient uptake and tax the system. Even then go easy on them, especially in a healing phase. It's all about minerals and life force energy. This creates the internal environment so your body can heal itself. Once this is established there are ways to coax detoxification but all elimination pathways must be open to begin this.

Remember meat, dairy and grains are very acidifying which is counter productive. Besides there is more efficiently useable aminos to build human protien than acidifying, toxic meat anyway, especially cooked toxic meat, with the added benefit of highly useable minerals and sun energy (chloryphyll) in plant sources. Where do you think most of the animals build their protien from? Well the ones who are most active and don't need to laze around after ingesting the active animals who eat sources closer to the sun. But at least these carnivores eat their meat raw. Well the undomesticated ,wild ones do. The domesticated animals that eat cooked processed foods...guess what? They take on the myriad of all the diseases that their owners do. Interesting. More on this by reading about the Pottenger studies.

Cooked food causes a plethora of toxins to be created which creates death not life.

Read Cooked Food Destroys Health and Cooked Food Is Carcinogenic.

In the end each of us is on our own path and must decide what he or she resonates with. I resonate with nature which is perfect. I entrain to that. The same natural processes that see Gabriel Cousens be able to easily do over 600 pushups on his 60th birthday, or Max Gerson Heal so many terminal patients, or so many healers create similar miracles with a similar mind set. Of course the ever lasting smile of Norman Walker lives on in my mind. Another raw foodist who lived to 118 years of age and died peacefully in his sleep. Man's tinkering has led us in a downward spiraling circle. Nature (source energy) is the way to change the direction of that spiral.
