Re: Ganglion Cyst

Zippy60....if you've read up on ganglion cysts on the internet
you know they are benign and just fluid filled sacs usually
attached to a tendon sheath or a joint lining. I'm wondering
if that could just be a little fatty tumor (also harmless)
on your daughters thigh....but regardless...here are my
thoughts...

I've had no personal experience in dealing with ganglion cysts
in any of the people I've worked with...but with all that
castor oil will do...I'm wondering if doing the castor oil
pack for a couple of hours in the evening would make it go
down...it's worth a try...you could try it for a couple of
weeks and just see what happens. Or even leave it on overnight.

Maria Treben was a WONDERFUL herbalist...and I've used many of
her "cures" and I've had pretty good luck with what I've tried.
For any kind of tumor or cyst...she recommends a poultice of
Horsetail..here's what she suggests do....
Take a double handful of Horsetail and put it into a sieve and
put that over a pot of boiling water (a double boiler can be
used). The soft, hot herbs are placed between a piece of linen and applied to the tumor or cyst. In very serious cases it
should be applied and left for 2 hours morning and night. It
can also be applied and left overnight. I've never used this
particular poultice...but Horsetail is a powerful herb. It
would be worth a try...so would the castor oil.

You should be able to get Horsetail at your local health food
store. Or over the internet. Good luck. kathryn
ps..if you try either of these...and they work...let us know! :-)
Neither will hurt her...so don't worry yourself about that.
