Re: school

The MA after my name is for a Master's Degree in Cultureal Geography from the University of Chicago.

I don't personally care much about letters after someone's name, however, I had many people tell me that I should use the letters I have earned because it holds weight with certain people. Especially when I am seeking speaking engagments, etc.

Since much of my work as you have read in my book, deals with the "cultural geography" of the our popular food culture, it is relevant to some degree and denotes an upper level of education through a conventional academic institution., which is important to some people.

Don't let NOT having letters after your name ever stop you from sharing what you know in your heart will benefit people who are seeking it. Ultimately, if what you have to share benefits them - they don't care.

If you share from your heart, from your truth and with intention of serving others you can't go wrong. There are a multitude of medical docts with big letters after their names and rather than serving people, they are harming them - often unknowingly. It's the way of our times that hopefully, is beginning to shift.

You can be a part of that shift by getting out there and sharing/helping people who are looking for what you have to offer. Go for it!

Good luck -
Kelly
