ha ha! I know that the Chinese also like to drink beverages to balance the inner and outer temperature. For example in hot weather they like to drink hot drinks, not icy cold as Americans do. I don't know if they ever drink cold drinks, actually. Do they?
Whereas here in the good ol' South people ice down their drink so much, year round, that there is barely any drink! Even if it snows, coldest day of the year, go outside and FREEZE and then come inside and fix an ice tea! ha ha!
I got into lukewarm water and warm drinks when I went to Europe, now I rarely use ice except sometimes ice water in a restaurant - but then I hardly drink with meals so it doesn't really make a difference.
