But to some of us, being gay is taboo, and our opinion matters just as much as people who think it's okay.

I think equal rights to gays is putting way too much credit for what gay are doing.
Human rights, yes, as in no gay bashing(iow, you can't maim or kill someone bc he/she is gay). But imho, gay should not be able to marry like men and women do together. It is a serious abomination to God. The moral fiber of our country is bad enough with tv and movies without gays getting marrying, corrupting our youth and some adults.

As you said all topics should be covered, but in a debate environment you will get people who don't agree with you, no matter HOW RIGHT you think you are.

You got a lot of positive response, and that's bc most of the people on this debate forum, and I can name a couple of others, are of your same view, BUT everyone doesn't feel that way. Since you guys who are pro-Gay Marriage are the majority, you start to think it's outlandish that anyone should disagree with your views, whether from a religious standpoint or not, but especially from a religious standpoint.

No, this forum has the right name for the topic, bc it's inherently a debated and debatable subjuect matter.
