We have different ideas of cruelty. I think it is cruel of Terri's parents to keep her alive when she is in a PVS. She is unable to preform the most basic life sustaining tasks (like eating food). I would NEVER want this for myself or anyone I love. Life is for living, I do not fear death, it is a natural and inevitable part of life. Plus, you don't know that starving to death is painful. You don't even know if she feels pain. Most living creatures stop eating and stop taking water when life is close to ending. I think it is unnatural to keep her alive.
