and then what ? remove the feeding tube then? it's not like they are removing the feeding tube after a month or two - this has been going on for 15 years.
maybe there is no hope for her . . . that's what the court cases have been about all these years. the husband thinks there is not while the parents still think she can improve. either the doctors & husband are wrong or the parents just can't let go of their daughter & are projecting her being aware when she is not (completely understandable).
it's one of those situations where there is no good decision. it is painful to watch a love one die this way.... yet it would be equally devistating to watch them live in this state.
it's impossible for us on the outside to judge as we don't know the history or what is in each of their hearts. the saddest thing about this is now because of the media, politicians & finge activists it has become a circus.
not every situation has a solution. sometimes all we can do is accept and surrender and let the experience awaken our compassion.
