Re: Fat Flush Plan

Hi, I just got this book from the library. I also checked out her Fast Track One Day Detox Diet book. I've got a couple of her other books that I really like, she's been around a long time and seems very credible. I also like her reliance on Real food rather than trying to replace junk foods with imitation junk foods.

One thing that bothers me is her (and so many others) insistance on eating a lot of meat. The best and most comprehensive book dealing with health I've found is Andreas Moritz ' and he makes a VERY convincing argument for a vegetarian diet. This especially interests me because of my husbands heart problems which Andreas (again very convincingly) blames on meat. I just can't decide once and for all about meat, (I also loved Nourishing Traditions) so for now we have just cut way down and eat small servings a few times a week. But we eat a lot of raw cheese and dairy and local eggs.

One thing I'm curious about is her assertion that cellulite is caused by stagnant lymph and it can be flushed away by using a rebounder every day for two weeks. I had read that the benefits of rebounding can be had just as well by walking so I was about to list my rebounder on ebay next month. However, after losing 20 pounds I'm pretty thin (5'7" and 120lbs) but still have cellulite on my legs AND my arms that I would sure like to get rid of. (Walking every day hasn't done anything for it!) Have you actually heard of anyone getting rid of cellulite with a rebounder??

This is a great time to start her plan because it's cranberry season. I'm going to get a couple of bags of organic cranberries and run them through the food processor instead of using pasturized juice.

I really like having a good base of knowledge that I've acquired from the year and a half of reading curezone for hours every day. I've done a lot of liver flushes, bowel cleansing etc and I feel like I'm way ahead of the game. I like her emphasis on the liver and keeping it clean, I'm glad to see more mainstream diet books are talking about it. Wish she'd come right out and recommend a liver flush, lol.

Thanks for posting, I hope more people will add to this forum and in fact all the different Diet Forum s; I've read a lot of the books and even the ones I mostly disagree with I've learned a thing or two from.
