Fat Flush Plan
Hello! This plan takes a bit of work but I enjoyed the results.
Basically it has 3 levels to it like so many different diets have today.
Phase one: eliminate dairy and grains. You use a lot of broth for sauting your veggies, which you can have unlimited. Protein portion size is somewhat regulated (different then the Atkins diet). Fruits are limited but you do get some. Of course you do cut out other things like coffee, etc.
To be honest, I didn't totally eliminate some dairy (mainly butter)in my cooking. I also added equal parts of flax oil, coconut oil, cod liver oil and wheat germ oil to my smoothies on those days.
I did really enjoy a lot of the recipes and still make them today. I have the cookbook, and "The Fat Flush Foods" book. The Fat Flush Foods book is good for explaining the different benefits of the herbs, etc. If you happen to see one in the book store, take a minute to thumb through it.
I found that it was a good diet for me, with a few changes that I felt were important for me personally. I found that my skin cleared up, veins diminished and those pesky bumps on the backs of my legs and arms went away. Besides the fact that my stomach went flat in two weeks, without any exercise. Imagine if I had exercised like I should... ;)

Ann Louise Gittleman first introduced it and it is covered really well! Also, her site

I never was hungry on this diet and I did feed my husband things on it without really telling him. Some kids "might" do okay with some of it, other sure won't. It's good if you need a plan to get you off the refined foods road!
I also felt I could incorporate much of my knowledge from Nourishing Traditions into it without compromising either one. That was important to me.
Hope it helps someone else!
