Wow, I'm excited to have found someone talking of darkroom here, I would never expect. I've done several of them and I can tell you it is awesome. If everything is done properly, that is, if you are REALLY in total darkness, and this is essential, after around three days you will begin to have visions, something like landscapes in moonlight, you move inside them it is not like a movie you are inside. Normally you see nature or sacred architecture. So the darkroom is dark only at the beginning, and there, in the first three days, you have to sleep a lot, the most possible. You will be sleepy, because at the beginning you are just full of melathonin, only after around three days your brain will produce pinoline instead of the serothonin/melathonin cycle. At that point the magic of the darkroom begins, with its DMT visions and the amazing healings at all levels, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. It is like the first days you quietly slip inside this other reality, and then any fear is banned. On the contrary the feeling is more of being in the safest place of the world, and when you'll be back to the light you'll feel what I mean because then you feel "exposed" again. It is like a womb, and so sacred... well, I could talk for hours of it, I also had one when I was two months pregnant of my son, and it was so beautiful!
Of course you can do it by yourself, but the first time maybe it could be useful to do it together with people with experience, mainly for technical reasons, there are many aspects to consider when you get prepared because afdter when you are in it is not that you can get out and in again, but also to get kind of reassured. We also did it with others, the first time. Once we did a three days darkroom with our cat! he purred all the time, and didn't want to get out when it was over! he was also extra-clean, we were very proud...
