Re: Giddy as a school girl

Hi Zapp!

Just a question for ya. How did you determine you were free of candida? I ask this because candida generally takes a long time to get rid. Contrary to what some books state, it takes far longer than 6-8 weeks. Since this is my second time with this issue I am familiar with it. The first time I had it I was also very sick with it. It took me almost a year to get rid of it. I ate lots of commercial yogurt artifically sweetened. But took no antifungals or vitamins. Strict diet and yogurt only. But it took a year. I went along time on the diet even when I felt well. I am so glad I did that because I believe it was the reason why I was perfectly fine for 15 years until it got me again after tons of Antibiotics .

I am wondering if you cleaned out your bowel. Also wondering if you are aware that the life cycle of candida is about 3 months, so if you have not gotten rid of entirely or if you have successfully implanted healthy bacteria, you can expect a reinfestation in about 3 months. My concern for myself and for others is that without sufficient bowel cleansing, candida is hiding in there and will simply re-establish itself again. It is possible that the bacteria you thought you may have implanted did not hang around too long. I believe a certain terrain has to be created to encourage not only implantation but also allow them to multiply.

Candida is really a battle. And I know it creates severe mineral deficiencies which will actually hinder any effort to implant healthy bacteria. And will also not help bacteria that are implanted.

To me it seems to make perfect sense. When a person has enough mineral stores, they will be alkaline, which promotes healthy bacteria. To get enough minerals in the body one must have a healthy digestive tract that can absorb as much as possible from food and supplements. A healthy digestive tract is one that is free of mucoid plaque. Once this happens, many believe that healthy bacteria will begin to flourish on its own even without supplementation. Of course I would still take probiotcs since they cannot hurt, and neither can yogurt.
