well first off take a deep breath and relax as much as you can. many people have recovered completely from cancer with natural methods and your mom can be among them. faith and love are the foundations of all healing, and i know you have both.

to answer your questions. yes, xray barium and chemo are all radiation and all are very toxic. xray is the least toxic but that is diagnostic, not treatment. IF your mom decides to do the barium and xray thing, then have her mega dose on kelp before and after hand. kelp is high in properties that protect the thyroid and other organs from radiation poison. get the highest quality kelp you can find. it is a highly affective treatment that has worked for people in hiroshima and those living near chernobyl.

if i were you i would have your mom sit down and talk to the doc. tell him that you want to try some alternative treatements and ask if there are other, less toxic and invasive means of tracking the cancer like blood markers or enzyme levels or something. tell him you would like to come in every 7 or 10 days and get these tests done to see how your mom is doing and see if the cancer is spreading or not.

don't get into an argument about Liver Flushes or other alternative treamtent methods, you will only be banging your head against a brick wall and get frustrated. docs have NO EXPERIENCE and NO KNOWLEDGE with these things and they are afraid of them and will try to make you afraid too, don't buy into it. cancer loves fear, hates love and hope.

if nothing else try to delay the chemo, this will give you some time to institute some wholistic approaches.

there are some great links to look at here in this forum. golfegg posted one titled "Ozone Page Complete" a great resource about the anti cancer affects of oxygen. golfegg's wife had cancer and was completley healed with ozone therapy. you can start this therapy on about $200 or less.

then i posted one titled "Dr. Budwig anti cancer protocol" about an anti cancer diet consisting of cottage cheese and flax oil.

Owen has a great post just below titled "I suggest Pau D Arco.." read there about the dangers of chemo and info about natural therapies.

key is fresh juices. freshly squeezed organic orange juice and wheatgrass juice are the two most powerful anti cancer juices there are. apple carrot spinach broccoli ginger garlic are also good for juicing when treating cancer. i am talkin about juice you have made yourself and then drink immediately, not store bought bottled juice.

also continue with the liver bowel and kidney cleanses, that is a fantastic idea, keep that up.

you are going ot have to do some research, because the docs are not going to help you on this one. make the effort, do the research and plot out your health regimin and then institute it aggressivley. i know you can do it. there are many paths to choose from here, you have to do the research and then select that path, or paths, that you feel will be most affective. i usually recommend a mulit-modal approach that utilizes several different protocols like ozone, herbs, fresh juice, Essiac tea, and the budwig diet for instance. you don't have to choose just one method of dealing with it. well i hope that helps and let us know if you need anything else.
