The peeling hands sounds like a major side effect of the chemo he is on. Is he on Capecitabine by any chance!!!!????? As this is the one mum was put on, and they have warned her to expect sore hands, but she was told to contact them immediately if they started to peel as once it starts they find it hard to stop, whereas if you tell them early they will drop the chemo dose, just ask them to make sure!

Yes there is lots to learn off here, in 3 mths I felt I had studied for a degree!!! They will tell you to stop the vit c, but they told my mum that too, but she still took it during her first chemo and the tumors shrunk , so how can the vit c stop the chemo working??? like 2tuff says, patients need more anti free radicals ie vit c, alpha lipoic acid etc.
