Shelley...what good advice...I"ve done
I've done these very things...naming trees, grass, squirrels,
birds, etc. What great advice! I really do it quite often.
My baby sister is Mayor of our town, my middle sister is an
Administrative assistant and makes tons of money. They dress to the hilt...know all the "right" people. I've never wanted to do anything but be a wife and homemaker and help people. Just give
me a pair of comfy pants and a big t-shirt or sweatshirt and
my apron..and I'm good to go. :-)
I've always loved living in the country, baking bread, having
chickens, ducks, goats, etc. My dad has always said when it
was time to bring me home from the hospital, they either brought
the wrong baby home, or the nurse dropped me on my head and
didn't tell anyone. :-) Because I am so different from the rest
of the family.
I love gathering sticks in the woods for our fire in the winter. I love the "crackle" the sticks make when the fire
is burning. And sometimes add more sticks along with the firewood during the evening just for the crackle. I am very
"aware" most of the time. I know how to "savor the moment"...
I have all the makings of the classic "1925 home scene"...but
I rush about so much...I keep the "feel" away. The old lady
in the above post...was really "living the life"...and she
moved at such a casual pace...her whole surroundings had the
"feel"...I want that...but will have to "train myself" to slow
down enough.
Thanks for all your great posts, Shelley! You are a walking
encyclopedia of remedies. :-) kathryn
