ah, you've just asked a mouthful!

It has more compounds than just the special super-sugars. Some of these are EFAs, amino acids, but the rest are simply called "alkaloids." One of the most FRUSTRATING things about herbal healing is the way NO ONE out there says exactly which chemical is in which herb. They usually just say "alkaloid" or a synonym and leave it at that. Aaarrrgggghhhh! LOL! :)

If you find a page that has definitive names for the active ingredients let me know!
