Peanut Allergy

I have 2 grandchildren ages 6 and 1. Both are severely allergic to peanuts.

I had no idea the problem even existed until 5 years ago. Recently an airline stewardess said the airline had stopped serving peanuts on flights because of this. I didn’t know about that either.

I ate lots of peanuts and peanut butter as a child and adult, so did my children, and so did my daughter-in-law. It seems to me that the problem has developed or certainly gotten worse within the last 30 years.

What do you think causes the allergy?
