Ooooh did you order the black tahini? I ordered it one time and when I tried I spat it out it was so bitter! I think that was my first try of tahini and I was so dissapointed. But then I tried regular and got instantly hooked. Hardly a day goes by that I don't eat it. Yummy! I never heard that soaking raisins and dates activated them (or made them raw agian)as in the case with nuts. Where did you read that? Anyways, I know exactly what you mean about not being able to control yourself with dates. I've eaten more than my fair share on several occasions and I'm a diabetic! Yikes!! I don't buy them anymore. The only foods that you should avoid are foods that are incompatable with your body which would require using kinesiology testing to find out, if you'd like I could explain to you how to do it but it requires a partner. Elimenating foods you test weak to can greatly aid in weight loss and is also very helpful with edema(I've personally found this to be true) and all health problems. Other than that foods you would want to cut back on for weight loss would be high calorie or high glycemic foods. Good luck on your raw journey!
