doctors are funny. I went to the gastro the other day..have had diarrhea for four years. I mentioned that when my stools are formed my multitude of symptoms are much better, and that when I take HCL my digestion is better and can they check my HCL with a heidleburg test..doc says my symptoms (skin, fatigue, tongue etc) are not gastro related and as far as HCL testing "we dont do that sort of thing". Now I was sitting there thinking am I really speaking with a gastroenterologist? Shouldnt he be concerned with my digestion? (definition of gastroenterologist- medical doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive system). If the digestive system is not working correctly one WILL no doubt have multiple symptoms, how hard is that to figure out, I dont get the disconnect between nutrition and medicine. When ever I suggest that it could be that I am not digesting my food then all of a sudden its not a problem they can solve.
Sorry for the rant.
I was yellow to for a while and no one really cared because it didnt show up in the blood work.
