I want to switch to a raw fruit/veggie diet, but my income is extremely restrictive (under the national poverty level). I am currently living on the SAD diet which is very cheap compared to a raw diet. I don't think I can afford to buy organic fruits/veggies right now, but I still want to go raw. My question is... will I still reap a lot of the benefits of the raw diet without buying organic? My goal will be to switch to organic as soon as I can afford it, but surely "mainstream" fruits and veggies are better than the traditional SAD diet. Your thoughts?
