I would love to see a "miracle pill" produced, but in order for me to trust it it would have to be not just effective, but virtually non-toxic, with no side effects. I'm very skeptical that such a drug could be produced. Without fail, every time I have taken drugs, whether they be antifungal or antibiotic, I have ended up worse. The problem that I have found, even with antifungals, is that they not only kill the yeast, but other competing bacteria. I was on a one month course of ketoconazol and after I came off it, my bowel movements were never "normal" again. I suspect this is because the drug killed not only the yeast but other "friendly" flora.
The problem with drugs is that while they may fix one problem in your body, they cause about a dozen others. I believe there are very rare exceptions to this rule.
