Things always look good on paper but..
I go to tell you..cox inhibitors are not the way to go.
Aspirin is an indiscriminate inhibitor of Cox-1,2 and 3.
Cox 2, and 3 promote inflammation while cox-1 is critical in the repair of the lining of our stomach. So it is a "necessary" cox if you will. It is a "good" Cox
(no jokes now)
so people who take aspirin daily are interfereing with a natrual occurence and doing damage to their bodies. That is how they get bleeding ulcers and other gastric disturbances.
And the problem with Cox-2 inhibiotrs though they are anti-inflammatory in action, they can cause a rebound in inflammation particlulary in veins and arteries. Plus they make our plateletes more likely to clump, increasing the chance of the formation of blood clots
Inflammation in our veins plus plus clots = heart attack or stroke.
the problem with cox-2 is that they stop the inflammation process in its tracks. Inflammation is a very necessary part of healing. It is the bodies first line of defense for infection or trauma..
