Re: Does this sound ok on the candida diet?
I know, it is really it a ride. But you certainly do not want to undo all that you have done. My opinion would be no to the corn meal. Corn is bad for many reasons. I have read where you can make spagetti out of squash and I here is is pretty darn hard to tell the difference with tomato sauce on it . Also try these they are delicious. Get large turnips and slice into french fry size pieces. Grease a cookie sheet with olive oil and spread out the turnip pieces. Use a baster brush to coat with ore olive oil lightly. Sprinkle with
Sea Salt parsley, basil and then cook at 350 for 20 minutes or until crispy. Boy if those are not good and they go great with some sauteed onion and scrambled eggs in the morning.
You can add things to your diet, there are lots of things to try. Try buckwheat pancakes with cinnamon, they are very good, filling and full of vitamins and okay for candida. I eat them all the time with no trouble. I also make lots of soup that tastes great. The key is variety for the palette you do not get bored. this makes it easier to stay on the diet.
Although lately I have thought I was going insane from all the dieting. I have been imagining smells. While making the buckwheat pancakes I thought I smelled maple syrup :( Then while walking the dog I thought I smelled donuts...but my sister informed me it was someone putting chemicals on their lawn...yikes and I thought it was donuts. Then today I smelled cake frosting. See, my mind is toying with me. Sometimes I even have dreams that I ate donuts and cookies and I wake up horrified for a split second. Funny... but not, know what I mean?
